MEL Tools
MEL tools are programs written in the MEL (Maya Embedded Language) language.
These tools can be installed by placing the .mel file in your maya installation's
'scripts' directory.
In Windows:
c:\documents and settings\your_user\my documents\maya\scripts\
In UNIX / Linux: ~/maya/scripts/
Shaders
Shaders are scenes containing one shader network for use in
your own scenes.
You should merge the scene
by importing it via your Hypershade,
Multilister,
or reference the scene with the Reference
Editor (recommended).
